Cultural Examination Project: Abstract:
The word culture has a variety of meanings and depending upon who you ask, it is possible each person will give your their own interpretation of it. Some may say it is the traditions that a group of people live by or even the type of art, food, or music they enjoy. There are countless answers to this one question none of which are wrong. There needs to be a common understanding of what culture really is before we can really take off with this project. Once this is established the research for the projects should be fun and simple. I hope to use information I find on the wiki about the past, present, and future to help discuss how different cultures communicate and work together in this ever changing world. By examining the past, present, and future I can see what has and hasn't worked to the advantage for certain cultures and even hypothesize what could work for other cultures in the future, based on this research. All in all I would like to put all of this information together to see if world peace is a realistic idea based on the way people get along based on cultures. This should be an interesting journey through different cultures and I can't wait to see what new ideas and philosophies I can learn about!
